Why I Keep Going Back to Disney’s Pop Century Resort

I have stayed at almost every resort on property at Walt Disney World, and if I haven’t stayed there, I have taken a tour. I make it my business to stay in as many places as possible so I can recommend the best places for you! But why do I keep going back to Pop Century? Here is why:

Value

First, it is in the value category, so while it doesn’t have all of the amenities of a moderate or deluxe resort, if you aren’t planning on spending much time in your room, it doesn’t matter as much. Now that they have added the Skyliner station, this makes it far superior to other resorts in my opinion. I love the Skyliner and how easy it is to get to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. 

Theme

If you want to be immersed in Disney, Pop Century is definitely one of your best options! From giant character statues to the touches in the rooms, it definitely screams “Disney!”

Food Court

I love the food court here. There is plenty of seating (and it just got a refresh!) and the food choices are pretty standard and solid options. 

Pool

The Hippy Dippy Pool is large and always seems to have some kind of fun activity going on. There are also a few smaller pools in the different sections if you end up closer to one of those and they tend to be a little quieter. 

Transportation

I already mentioned the Skyliner, but I feel like Pop Century buses run pretty consistently and they are prepared for the number of people who want to ride them. Even though the line can look intimidating first thing in the morning or later at night when you are leaving the park, it tends to move quicker than you expect. 

I am also a huge rule follower and I love that there is an organized queue for the bus lines. No cutting or grouping around here, and that makes me much less grumpy when it is busy.

runDisney 

I most recently stayed at Pop Century during a runDisney weekend and they went all out for the runners! It was such a fun experience. When we got off the bus after the races, there were cast members cheering for us, a photo background, a bubble trash can, celebration buttons, and water bottles. It felt very special!
