Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel Review: Is This Budget Strip Hotel Worth It?
I have visited Las Vegas more than ten times and this was my third stay at Flamingo Las Vegas. When I return to the same hotel again and again, there is a reason. If you are looking for a centrally located and budget friendly hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, here is my honest Flamingo Las Vegas review.
Why Stay at Flamingo Las Vegas?
Location and price are the two biggest reasons I keep coming back to Flamingo Las Vegas.
Located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, Flamingo makes it easy to walk almost anywhere. You are directly across from Caesars Palace and close to Paris Las Vegas and Bellagio. Staying in this prime location usually comes with a high price tag, but Flamingo offers a more affordable option compared to neighboring luxury resorts.
If you want to be in the heart of the action without paying luxury hotel prices, Flamingo Las Vegas is hard to beat.
The Room: Go Room King Attraction View
For this stay, we booked a Go Room King Attraction View. When it is just Aaron and me traveling, I prefer a guaranteed king bed, and this room category offered exactly that.
The room felt spacious and the bed was comfortable. One feature I especially loved was the motorized curtains, which added a modern touch to the space.
An attraction view does not mean a Strip view. Our room overlooked part of the pool rather than the main Strip. While the view was nothing spectacular, that is not a priority for me when staying in Las Vegas. I care more about comfort and location.
We were on the 22nd floor, and the shower had strong water pressure with consistently hot water, which is always a plus in a large Las Vegas hotel.
Overall, the room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a couples getaway in Las Vegas.
Dining at Flamingo Las Vegas
Food prices in Las Vegas have increased significantly over the years, and budget travelers should plan accordingly.
One morning we grabbed pastries and coffee at Nook Express, which cost thirty two dollars. While convenient, it was a reminder that quick breakfasts on the Strip can add up quickly.
We ate breakfast twice at Havana 1957 inside Flamingo Las Vegas. The food was very good, and I found the pricing comparable to other vacation breakfast spots in major cities.
For dinner, we chose Gordon Ramsay Burger because of its convenience and location. It was good, but not necessarily a must visit restaurant if you are staying elsewhere on the Strip. That said, we received a text from the hotel offering twenty percent off our meal, which made it a nice value.
If you are staying at Flamingo, these restaurants are solid and convenient options, even if they are not destination dining experiences.
The Atmosphere and Overall Feel
Flamingo Las Vegas definitely has an older feel compared to some of the newer resorts on the Strip.
The ceilings are lower, and the entrance is not as grand or dramatic as places like Bellagio or Caesars Palace. However, that classic Vegas vibe is part of its charm.
One major benefit is the manageable size. You are not walking what feels like a mile just to reach your room. The layout is easy to navigate, and you are unlikely to get lost in the casino or hotel corridors. For many travelers, especially couples or quick weekend visitors, this convenience is a huge plus.
Make sure you go see the flamingos outside!
Is Flamingo Las Vegas Worth It?
Would I stay at Flamingo Las Vegas again? Yes.
Would I recommend it to a client? Yes, depending on their travel style and priorities.
Flamingo is ideal for travelers who want a central Strip location, reasonable room rates, and comfortable accommodations without paying luxury resort prices. It may not be the most impressive hotel on the Strip, but it offers strong value for the location.
