Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Review: Is This the Best Deluxe Resort Near EPCOT?
It has always been a goal of mine to stay at every on-property Walt Disney World Resort. I crossed the second-to-last one off my list this September—and today I’m excited to share my full Disney’s BoardWalk Inn review with you!
Where Is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Located?
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn sits along Crescent Lake and is the closest deluxe resort to EPCOT, just steps from the International Gateway entrance. It’s also part of the BoardWalk Resort area, which includes Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort.
As a Deluxe Resort and Disney Vacation Club property, BoardWalk Inn offers several room categories—from standard and garden views to Resort View and DVC villa options.
Our Resort View Room at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
We stayed in a Resort View Room, conveniently located on the corner of the building. The subtle Disney touches here were charming without feeling overwhelming.
Why I Love Disney Deluxe Resorts
Staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort always comes with a few perks, and BoardWalk Inn does not disappoint:
Spacious bathrooms with a large double-sink vanity
Patio or balcony in most rooms (we were on the first floor with a peaceful patio—perfect for morning coffee or relaxing while kids sleep!)
Twin-size sofa bed, which works well for both kids and adults
Transportation: The Biggest Perk of BoardWalk Inn
The number one reason I love staying at the BoardWalk Inn is its unbeatable proximity to EPCOT. You can:
Walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance
Take a Friendship Boat to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios
Walk to the Disney Skyliner to transfer at Caribbean Beach Resort for Hollywood Studios
For anyone who prefers to walk to a park—like me—this location is a dream.
The BoardWalk Inn Pool & Recreation
The pool area here is themed after the classic Mickey Shorts cartoon style, featuring familiar characters in a fun and modern way. It’s definitely an improvement from the (infamous!) clown slide that used to be here.

Dining Options at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
One major perk of staying in this area is the easy access to Boardwalk restaurants, bakeries, and snack spots.
However, my one complaint: there’s nowhere at BoardWalk Inn to get Mickey Waffles. I ended up walking to Beach Club’s quick-service location to get my fix.
On the Boardwalk itself, you’ll find pastries, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches—but for a fuller breakfast, you’ll want to head to a nearby resort or into the parks.
Is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Worth It?
Yes! I would absolutely stay here again. It’s charming, convenient, and walkable—three things I love in a Disney resort. The ability to walk to EPCOT and access so many transportation options makes it worth the higher nightly rate.
Would You Stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn?
If you're dreaming of a stay steps away from EPCOT with great amenities and a classic Disney feel, this resort might be perfect for you.
